
Behavioral Health Groups
Borinquen Medical Centers provide a comprehensive range of behavioral health support groups to our culturally diverse community in the Miami metropolitan area.
STOPP
(Substance Use Group)

The group provides a nonjudgmental setting for participants to learn about the signs and symptoms of problematic substance use and the mental health symptoms that accompany it. Participants will learn relapse prevention skills, positive coping and interpersonal skills, and will receive support and encouragement throughout their recovery.
Adults ages 18 and over who are actively using substances or have a history of substance use
El grupo proporciona un entorno sin prejuicios para que los participantes aprendan sobre los signos y síntomas del uso problemático de sustancias y los síntomas de salud mental que lo acompañan. Los participantes aprenderán habilidades de prevención de recaídas, afrontamiento positivo, habilidades interpersonales, y recibirán apoyo y aliento a lo largo de su recuperación.

Level Up
(Coping Skills Group)

The group provides a nonjudgmental setting for people seeking education on coping skills, as well as providing a safe space for support by mental health professionals and others experiencing similar symptoms. Examples of topics covered include: coping skills, symptom management, how to improve sleep, managing grief and loss, challenging your thoughts, meditation, and mindfulness.
Adults ages 18 and over who are seeking a supportive environment.
El grupo ofrece un entorno sin prejuicios para las personas que buscan educación sobre temas de habilidades de afrontamiento, además de brindar un espacio seguro para el apoyo de profesionales de la salud mental y otras personas que experimentan síntomas similares. Ejemplos de temas cubiertos incluyen: habilidades de afrontamiento, manejo de síntomas, problemas de insomnio, manejo del dolor y la pérdida, desafiar sus pensamientos, meditación, y atención plena.

Golden Creations Art Club
(Art Support Group)

The group provides a nonjudgmental setting for adults ages 18 and over seeking a supportive and creative outlet. Participants will participate in art projects throughout the year and engage in group discussions relating to planning, self-esteem, positive support systems, mindfulness, and others.

(Teen Art Support Group)

The group provides a nonjudgmental setting for teens ages 13 to 16 seeking a supportive and creative outlet. Participants will participate in art projects throughout the year and engage in group discussions relating to bullying, self-compassion, self-esteem, positive support systems, mindfulness, and others.
